Tuition and Expenses

FYAO Members can expect to incur the following tuition fees and costs to participate in one of our orchestras:

Audition Fees

$25 non-refundable audition fee, payable at the time of audition.

Annual Tuition Fee

$490 annual tuition.  Payment is due upon acceptance into the FYAO unless a payment plan has been established.  A limited number of partial or full scholarships for qualifying applicants are available for annual tuition fees due to financial hardship, subject to submittal and favorable review of a financial application (you can download the application below).  Note:  there is a tuition discount for additional young musicians from the same family – check with our Executive Director for more information.

Mid Season Tuition Fee

$250 includes audition fee, payment due in January

Other Expenses

Each FYAO Member must purchase a uniform for performances which satisfies the dress requirements found in the Members Handbook.  Uniform fittings and information are typically available during the “Classical Jam” rehearsal/concert held at the beginning of the season in August.  Further information can be obtained by contacting the FYAO office.
