Support FYAO

As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization recognized as such by the IRS, the Florida Young Artists Orchestra depends on the financial and in-kind support of the community for its existence.  Annual tuition fees are kept reasonably low to give every child an opportunity to participate, and the FYAO offers partial and full scholarships to approximately ten percent of its members, based upon demonstrated financial need.  Many public and private schools in the Central Florida area do not offer orchestra in their curriculum, and a growing number of children are home-schooled.  For many students, the FYAO provides the only opportunity for these musicians to play their instruments in an orchestral setting.

The tangible educational benefits of music study as a basis for higher learning of all kinds has been well-documented.  FYAO students have gone on to become contributing members of society in virtually every field, and their exposure to orchestral music of the great masters will foster their awareness of the essential value of the arts in society.

Your tax-deductible donations of cash and in-kind services allow the FYAO to continue to make this great service available to the young people of the Central Florida area.  There are several ways you can make a personal gift to support FYAO’s hardworking and talented young musicians:

3. Telephone- please call the FYAO office at (407) 257-8886 to make donation arrangements. Our Executive Director will accept your credit card details in full confidentiality.
4. Mail – you may print and complete the online form. Please make your check out to “FYAO” or include credit card details and send to; Florida Young Artists Orchestra, Inc., P.O. Box 521947, Longwood, FL 32752-1947.
5. Matching gifts – many companies will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To amplify the impact of your giving in this way, please request a Matching Gift Form from your or your spouse’s company (NOTE: companies may differ on this procedure).
6. Payroll deduction – some companies have programs permitting employees to make gifts to designated charities (such as United Arts) through scheduled payroll deductions.  Please ask your employer whether this simple and convenient method of giving is available to you.  For Heart of Florida United Way, the FYAO book # is 1220806 to designate donations.
7. Non-cash gifts – gifts of property will generally be realized as cash. However, FYAO would be honored to receive donated musical instruments in good condition for the use of our students who cannot afford one.
8. In-kind gifts – we gratefully receive in-kind gifts of many types ranging, for example, from professional services, discounted rent, chocolate bars to printing. All such gifts are fully acknowledged, including their equivalent cash value where possible.
9. Legacy gifts (planned giving) – the simplest way to support FYAO through a legacy gift is to include FYAO in your will. You should always consult with your attorney before modifying your will. For advice about either planned gifts that benefit FYAO while providing you income (e.g. charitable remainder annuity trusts) or about additional types of estate gifts, please consult with a financial or estate planning professional.
10. The FYAO offers opportunities for businesses to become Corporate Partners or Sponsors.  Sponsorship and partner opportunities include advertising in our concert programs, sponsoring a concert or other special event.  The possibilities are endless – let’s work together in creating an opportunity that benefits the FYAO and our community while also recognizing your organization’s contribution.
